Incentive Challenges

Kick Start Summer 2013 Incentive Program

Join this 6-week incentive program starting April 29! This is a great way to get your motivated for your summer vacation and some great tips for staying healthy
 over your the warmer months.

How it works? Each week you will receive an email on Monday with infomration on that week's topic, recipes, workouts and 6 challenges. If you complete 3 of the 6 challenges, you are entered into a drawing for that week's prize. Some challenge examples may include: performing a workout given, writing a food log for a day, or writing a workout schedule for the week.

To register, send an email to Laura Babcock, Wellness Coordinator with your name and department/school. An informational email will be sent out on Monday, April 29 at the start of the challenge.


Join the 2013 Annual Incentive Challenge!

    The Annual Incentive Challenge is a great way to keep your health a priority all year long! This email will explain the details of the program and attached is everything you need, forms, and points guidelines. These will also always be available through the RockWell website at www.RockinghamWellness.com under Incentive Challenges. Please let me know if you have any questions about the challenge!

What to do every month? General Instructions

    Each month you will need to keep track of the points you earn. You will use the Points and Awards (attached) as a guideline and the calendar to keep track. Mark the activity on your calendar each month and add up your total. You can turn your calendars into me each month OR hold on to them and turn all in at one time. All calendars will be due on Friday, December 6, 2013. Gift cards will be delivered shortly after the due date, just in time for the holidays!


Points and Gift cards

 

  • Review the points and awards attachment for ways you earn points.
  • The food logs can be done through websites such as fitnesspal.com, choosemyplate.gov or any other tracker. Usually, there is a summary you can send with your monthly calendar. You can also do handwritten tracking; simply put the food or drink consumed and calories. Weight watchers points can also be used.
  • For exercise, you will earn 5 points for 300 minutes of exercise and the full 10 points for 450 minutes of exercise per month.  
  • If you receive your annual physical during months not part of the challenge (January or December), you can still receive points. Add the physical points on a different month and make a note of when you got your physical.
  • The Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is provided through Anthem. If you do not have anthem insurance, check with your insurance provider about what they have to offer, you can usually find these on their website after you register on the health and wellness section.
  • You will receive points for multiple health screenings. For example, if you have to get your cholesterol checked every 3 months, you will get points every 3 months for a health screening.
  • RockWell activities include any events: health screenings, 5K, and other incentive challenges.

 

Forms attached

 

  • The blank calendar will be used every month for your tracking purposes. There is a calendar to record exercise, and a way to check off other activities for points. Newsletter completion forms and food logs are additional materials needed.
  • The safe driving pledge is to be filled out and turned in by Friday, March 1 to receive the 5 points.
  • Newsletter completion forms are to be filled out for each newsletter and turned in with the calendars. All old newsletters and monthly information session power-points can be found at RockWell’s website under Resources.

 

Feel free to ask me any questions at any point during the challenge. I will also send out emails throughout the year with ways you could earn more points! Additional participants are able to join at any time during the challenge.
